Feeling like an incredibly lucky chap.

I was chatting to Raymond at Loch Lomond Wakeboard about how I was “too fat to float” on the kids’ Aquaplanet SUP and as a result, have Just taken delivery of a fantastic Red 10ft 8 paddleboard. It’s the dog’s baws.

Now I’m no expert when it comes to SUP equipment but the Red board and accessories just oozes quality. From their website:

For an inflatable paddle board that offers super stability and performance, look no further than our 10’8″ Ride. With all the same qualities as our other Ride boards, you’ll appreciate the extra stability that comes from its increased volume, especially if you are a slightly larger rider or have a passenger on board.

Made from our exclusive MSL material, at 4.7”/120mm thick, this board provides increased stiffness at lower pressure, making it 40% stiffer than a standard 4”/100mm board. The rounded tail makes the board easy to manoeuvre, so it’s also a great beginner board too.

The bag is amazing, the paddle is carbon fibre and ultra light, the “Titan 2” pump reminds me of footage from the Apollo mission launches and it just seems like the best possible quality you can get in a board package. What’s more, it’s very stable and it won’t sink under my weight.

Too fat to float? Not me anymore.

Here’s a shitload of product pictures from their website.
